TEE Conference

09Mar11

This year we are having a conference again in my institution around technology enhanced education.  I find this type of conference is a brilliant opportunity to catch up on what people have been working on actually in my own institution.  Normally, with most of these type of conferences there is a lack of time to talk to people between presentations and talks, so this time @MrSimonWood is opting to try organising the conference differently.  Most presentations will be delivered and made available online before the conference, and the majority of the conference itself will involve brief presentations (the online versions can expand on these brief sessions), posters and demos – but otherwise a lot of mingling (hopefully!)

I like this idea – no, I like this a lot – and I’m looking forward to talking to people.  I’m also hoping to do something myself on the benefits and challenges of using GradeMark (Turnitin) for summative assessment, so I will be at the conference to demo this myself.
